Earth

A note of earth can be achieved with a compound known as geosmin, which is naturally occurring in beetroots and soil. Another rare earthy material is mitti attar, where soil or clay is distilled alongside sandalwood for a unique blend. Other materials that can have earthy qualities are oakmoss, mushroom and roots such as iris.
