Hay

Whilst dried grass doesn’t seem very glamourous, it can add a wonderfully warm touch to a fragrance. Due to its coumarin content, it blends well with tonka bean but also with notes such as tobacco and honey. Often used in fougeres, hay absolute is a powerful and cost effective material in the perfumer’s palette.
