Josh Meyer

Josh Meyer discovered niche fragrance when his orders of straight razors were often shipped with samples of perfumes, leading to an unexpected passion. He began his career as a perfumer in 2010, spending many hours researching and experimenting with materials. 

His brand Imaginary Authors is born from the concept of scent as art and art as provocation. Like a good book, the scents are meant to inspire you. The perfumes are intended as layered narratives, and each Imaginary Authors fragrance follows a compelling storyline peppered with intriguing twists.

Josh is based in Portland, Oregon, and composes fragrances for his Imaginary Authors line as well as Anthropologie, Dasein and The Sum.
