Marc-Antoine Corticchiato

As the nose and owner of his brand Parfum d'Empire, and with a PhD in the chemistry of perfume plants, Marc-Antoine is sole sovereign of his lab.

Having grown up in Corsica, many of his creations are inspired by the ruggedly beautiful landscapes of this Mediterranean isle.

In his own words:

"I create perfumes that are not conventional. People don't really know what they like. What saddens me is the lack of olfactory curiosity. You need to have the courage to explore avenues other than what you normally wear. When someone tells me they love Shalimar, it would be a pity to only suggest Ambre Russe to them just because it belongs to the same fragrance family. It's like having been in love with someone and searching for a clone of your lost love. Why not dare to head to pastures new?"
