Perhaps a note that you wouldn’t expect to be seen in perfumery, however, the creative directions of niche perfumery may occasionally call for this earthy note. Many varieties of mushrooms can be extracted to produce an absolute, with cepes and porcini being some of the most common.

Meaty and earthy, mushroom can be used in woody, earthy and fougere fragrances.
