Palo Santo
The soft wood of Bursera gravelolens, more commonly known as palo santo, is an aromatic material with a creamy scent, characterised by a distinctive minty note.
The wood is often burned for spiritual purification, particularly in combination with sage.
In fragrance, palo santo can be seen alongside or as an alternative to sandalwood.
Not to be confused with guaiac wood, which is also sometimes called palo santo.
