The Code of Emotion

The Code of Emotion is born from the perfumer’s lifelong fascination with the idea of an “Emotion Generator Machine” — crafting perfumes with the sole purpose of sparking emotion. Like a mechanic fine-tuning a powerful engine, each note is placed with precision to evoke a specific feeling: the passion between lovers, the scent of skin in memory, or nostalgia for an imagined place.

For this creation, the journey began with the classic fougère structure — a green, aromatic, woody accord that’s both familiar and comforting. Yet tradition was deliberately challenged by introducing a vibrant tropical twist, led by juicy, mouthwatering mango. This exotic note disrupts the predictability of the fougère, transforming it into something recognisable yet refreshingly different, with the bright fruitiness weaving playfully through the grounding base.

The result is a fragrance that balances comforting familiarity with joyful surprise: pampering yet invigorating, deep but never heavy, mouthwatering without becoming gourmand. The lush tropical heart redefines the fougère’s boundaries while retaining its signature elegance, creating a scent that invites both recognition and discovery.

A final creative constraint shaped the composition — avoiding iris or iris-like accords entirely and limiting animalic notes to only the cleanest of musks. The outcome is a refined, uplifting fragrance designed to delight, surprise, and connect through the universal language of emotion.
