Our advice for burning scented candles: 

· For the first use, ensure that the candle is lit for at least three hours so that the wax melts to the edge and burns evenly down, rather than tunnelling.

· Before burning, trim the wick down to one centimetre.

· Each burn should ideally be for two to three hours.

· Use of a hooked wick extinguisher is preferable to blowing out a candle, which can cause the wick to smoke and excessively burn out.
