Amber
In modern perfumery amber refers to a mix of labdanum and vanillin, thus called due to the golden brown colour of the liquid produced. Other materials such as benzoin can also be used in an amber accord.
Soft, sweetish and delicious, it can lend powdery and orientalized tones.
