Evocative
Some fragrances serve a functional purpose - to refresh on a hot day or to give comfort in winter. Others are transportive, taking you to another place through the power of scent. Sometimes it may be simple imagery that they evoke, and other times, you might truly imagine yourself somewhere else.
These Evocative perfumes are usually quite artistic, sometimes even challenging. Often, they are less about making an impact with others, but for the wearer to reflect on and enjoy.
One such example is Francesca Bianchi’s The Black Knight, which evokes imagery of its title character - black capes and horse saddles in a war-torn medieval land.
