Marine Notes

A fairly broad term, marine notes can relate to anything from salty, ozonic air, to watery notes, to seaweed.

Ambroxan and calone are particularly common aromachemicals in fragrances, giving salty ambergris and cucumber-like watery notes respectively. Other compounds such as algae and seaweed extracts can be added to accentuate a marine effect.
