Myrrh
Perhaps the most mysterious gift from the Three Wise Men, myrrh is a sacred resin obtained from the Commiphora Myrra tree, native to Western Africa and Arabia. Myrrh is one of the oldest fragrant materials, having been used in sacred rituals since around 2000 BC.
Often burned with frankincense, myrrh resin smells darker, more medicinal and bitter than its more piney, citrussy counterpart. It's a common ingredient in perfumery and here, we have selected three fragrances with myrrh as a prominent note.⠀⠀⠀⠀
