PURE CHYPRE
A family of fragrances that began with Coty's Chypre in 1917. The word itself refers to the island of Cypress.
The chypre accord was originally built around bergamot, labdanum and oakmoss, however, over the years, we have seen other common inclusions such as rose and patchouli. A chypre perfume can be light and crisp, powerful and dense, or anything in between.
Other famous chypre fragrances include Guerlain Mitsouko, Rochas Femme, and Clinique Aromatics Elixir.
