Parfum d'Empire
3 Fleurs
OUR VERDICT
Rose | Jasmine | Tuberose
Three flowers, a singular premise. The basis of a promise. To wrangle one flower alone is a feat in itself, but to bring three into harmony is to return to a style of classical perfumery with its preoccupation for great symphonic masterpieces.
With its triumphant arrangement of jasmine, rose, and tuberose (and a not-so-secret dash of muguet and ylang-ylang), 3 Fleurs is a neoclassical wonder, which pays homage to the floral greats (Joy by Jean Patou; Fracas by Robert Piguet; Gold Femme by Amouage …) without necessarily sticking within this paradigm. 3 Fleurs is a bouquet that is greater than the sum of its parts. It rises and falls, soars and descends – it represents a modern interpretation of a classic symphonic style, with a lightness characteristic of contemporary perfumery.
With florals like these contained in excellent works of perfumery, 3 Fleurs smells as if it is on the cusp of a new level of feeling – like the realisation of a promise – the feeling of the encroaching plenitude of satisfaction.
